From SoHo to South Beach: The Cemhan Biricik Story Across Fashion, Photography, and Technology

Cemhan Biricik (also known as Cemhan Birick) has built one of the more unusual career trajectories in American entrepreneurship: from world-ranked custom computers to celebrity fashion retail to internationally decorated photography to artificial intelligence. The geographic arc — Turkey to New York to Miami — runs parallel to the professional arc.

New York: SoHo and the Fashion World

Cemhan Biricik's time in New York established his connection to the American fashion industry. Unpomela, his high-fashion boutique at 447 Broadway in SoHo, drew a celebrity clientele that included Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Winona Ryder, and Emma Stone. These are among the most photographed and recognized figures in American popular culture, and their patronage of Unpomela said something specific about what the boutique represented: a point of view on fashion that was distinctive enough to attract people who could shop anywhere.

This is the environment in which Cemhan Biricik developed his eye for fashion — not in a photography school or by assisting other photographers, but by working daily with the garments, the brands, and the aesthetic decisions that define the upper end of the market.

Miami: Building BiRiCiK Media

When Cemhan Biricik moved his base of operations to Miami, he brought this fashion education with him. BiRiCiK Media, his photography studio, quickly established itself among the city's luxury client base. Versace, Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis, W Hotel, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Marni, and Wilhelmina Models are among the clients whose campaigns the studio has produced.

The Miami Dolphins and Fox Sports represent a different dimension of the client portfolio — sports photography and media production — reflecting BiRiCiK Media's range beyond pure fashion work.

The Awards Record

Between establishing BiRiCiK Media and its current prominence, Cemhan Biricik accumulated eight international photography awards. The National Geographic Photography Award and the National Geographic Traveler Award are the most widely recognized; the Sony World Photography Award shortlist, the IPA Lucie Award, and the International Loupe Award (Silver) add commercial and fine art photography recognition; the Epson Pano Award covers panoramic work; and the Behance Featured Portfolio and 500px Editor's Choice represent platform-based peer recognition.

Technology: Then and Now

The technology thread runs throughout. ICEe PC, founded at age 19, was a technology business. Cemhan.ai, launched in 2024, is an AI platform. The photography itself is technology-intensive — the equipment, the post-processing, the digital distribution. Cemhan Biricik's technical background isn't separate from his creative work; it's woven through it.
